- What’s your best travel memory ?
My best travel memory is when I traveled to Uganda on a ferry heading to one of the Ssese islands on Lake Victoria. The only way to get to the other side of the island was to travel in the boot of a jeep ! Clipped to the steel bars on the back of a Toyota, we rode at high speed across the jungle. During 3 hours we travel through the bush, sunny glades, and were surrounded by majestic trees from which monkeys were looking down on us. We finally reached our final destination in the evening. What a wonderful surprise to witness a gorgeous violet and orange sunset, up above this endless lake.
- Which place would you highly recommend ?
When I think about a place I think about food and when I think about food I think about Lebanon ! It’s hard to choose which dish you should rather try, you may ask about local dishes in the area where you are and you will always find something fresh and tasty.
- Where would you settle down ?
On the shore of the Mediterranean sea... Maybe in Spain, France, Italy or Greece.
- What’s your dream trip ?
The great Silk Road... Originally, the departure point of the Silk road was in Xi'an, which used to be the capital city of China, we would keep travelling through Gansu Corridor and then Xinjiang, an area located between Tibet and Mongolia.
I also dream about the steppes and deserts of central Asia, in these following countries : Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan. And finally travel to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Turkey and within Europe.
- Are you rather into highly organized travel or improvisation ?
Adventure obviously ! Thinking about your upcoming trip, before you even start to plan it, is the start of your adventure. Then you start packing a map, hiking boots, a camera...
- Your all-time top three destinations ?
The coastline of Beirut, the markets in Damas, the jungle and lush hills of Rwanda.
- Where to go, when and why ?
Hiking in the Atlas from a village to another, getting a shuttle to Essaouira in July. Every reasons are good to travel there.
