Day 1| International flight
Departure from Canada

Day 2| Dubai - United Arab Emirates and dinner cruise
Arrival at Dubai International Airport where you will be met by our local representative, before going through Immigration services. Our representative will assist you in obtaining any visa you may need, and with luggage pick-up, before accompanying you to your hotel.
The Fairmont Dubai is an icon in the heart of the city. A unique blend of contemporary design and urban chic, the hotel is just minutes away from Dubai's main attractions, shopping facilities, golf courses and beaches.
Early in the evening, our local representative will meet you at the hotel and accompany you to the Dubai Creek for an ‘Evening of Elegance': a cruise aboard a special glass boat called Bateau Dubai. This enchanting two-and-a-half hour dinner cruise combines the best of sightseeing, fine dining and live music for entertainment. On board, the 550 square meters (6,000 square-feet) of windows offer a spectacular view of the shores of Dubai Creek, a rich contrast of traditional architecture and modern skyscrapers (upon availability).
Meals included: Dinner
Lodging: The Fairmont Hotel

Day 3| Dubai, city of merchants and pearl divers
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for a half-day ‘City of Merchants' Dubai City Tour. The route takes you to the magnificent Jumeirah Mosque, a good example of contemporary Islamic architecture, and past modern palaces sprawled along the coast. In Bastakia, an old Dubai neighbourhood recently restored, you will stop to admire the old houses built by wealthy merchants and their -wind-towers- - an early ‘air-conditioning system' which catches the winds from all directions and channels it into the house. The 150-year old Al Fahidi Fort, also recently restored, stands close-by. Here, you will find the Dubai Museum where the old town was re-created, including old Arab houses and souks. The museum also houses a particularly interesting exhibit on pearl divers.
Your journey continues by -abra-, a local water taxi. You will cross the creek to see the modern metropolis with its splendid architecture, the skyscrapers dwarfing the bustling alleys of our next destination: the Gold souk, considered the most important in the world, and the Spices souk, a labyrinth of small alleys overflowing with spices, incenses, petals of roses and medicinal plants.
Meals included: Breakfast
Lodging: The Fairmont Hotel

Day 4| Dubai - The desert
Morning of leisure and departure for a scenic drive, in the desert, to Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa. The resort is located within part of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, a large protected desert reserve which is home to the wild Oryx - an endangered native ‘antelope' of the UAE that roams freely around the resort.
After an excellent lunch, you will check in your private desert retreat, one of the 52 luxurious villas with tented ceilings. Relax in your private plunge pool, take a guided nature walk or an enthralling dune drive, a horseback ride through the dunes or a sunset camel safari with a glass of champagne. Archery lessons are also available along with falconry demonstrations - a tradition in the region whose techniques are preserved at Al Maha.
All meals are included at this resort along with two complimentary activities per day. The resort Guest Relation's officers will assist you in planning your activities and relaxation time.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Lodging: Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa

Day 5| Dubai - The desert
Activities of your choice, such as a fun-filled dune drive or a relaxing nature walk with one of the specialist safari guides or any of the other activities offered by the resort. For dinner why not making special arrangements with the resort chef to have dinner served at your villa?
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Lodging: Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa

Day 6| Dubai of the future
Check out from the resort in the morning and return to Dubai. Your journey begins near the Burj Al Arab (photo stop) designed by the architect Tom Wright to resemble a billowing sail over the water. It is the world's only seven-star hotel, the highest (321 meters) and one of the most photographed buildings. Our next destination is the Palm Jumeirah, the largest man-made islands in the world, in the shape of a palm tree. Driving across the -trunk-, you can take a closer look at new developments in the area. We then drive to the brand new marina (photo stop), in the heart of modern Dubai, with its cosmopolitan spirit and view of the creek. A town within the town.
Your next stop will be the Gold and Diamond Park, a new complex of jewellery workshops and showrooms which is also a favoured shopping destination for visitors seeking a quick turnaround on custom-made jewellery. You will then visit the Information Centre of Dubailand, where guests get a preview of the dynamic upcoming projects. Dubailand is a gigantic leisure complex spread over 81 square kilometres. Some of the attractions are already in operation, others under construction. Once completed it should be the largest destination for family- orientated tourism and entertainment in the Middle-East. It is expected to attract 40 000 visitors a day and will contribute to attracting 15 million visitors to Dubai by the year 2015.
Your final stop is the Souq Al Bahar, located in the Old Town. Themed as a traditional Arabian marketplace, it offers a range of shopping and dining choices. It is also an ideal vantage point to capture dramatic shots of the Burj Dubai, the famous skyscraper which soars 818 meters into the skies above.
Meals included: Breakfast
Lodging: Hilton Dubai Jumeirah

Day 7| Dubai - Mountains and sea
Departure from Dubai in the morning, driving towards the East Coast of the United Arab Emirates. On the way, you will make a detour from the Sharjah - Al Dhaid highway, to drive through a modern Bedouin village and a couple of camels farms. Leaving the farms, you will head towards the oasis town of Masafi, an ancient stop for caravans, where you will stop at the colourful Friday market for half an hour. You will then continue, along the shores of the Indian Ocean, to the quaint and tranquil town of Dibba, a natural harbour and pre-Islamic trading post, where you can make a short stop at the fish and vegetable market.
Your off-road adventure through the steep passes of the rugged Hajar range starts here. For the next two hours the journey takes you through a wild landscape of dramatic canyons, deep gorges and rocky valleys. Amidst these impressive natural sights lie small mud-walled villages where crops are still cultivated. After a picnic lunch in the 'Grand Canyons', the road takes you back to Dibba and then into Wadi Bassam for a short photo stop before returning to Dubai by the evening.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch
Lodging: Hilton Dubai Jumeirah
