Arrival at Delhi International Airport. Greeting and assistance, transfer to your hotel.

  • Day 3 | DELHI

After breakfast at your hotel, discover Delhi, the city with two faces and the capital of India. The colours, the lively bazaars, the bustling streets and the Mughal architecture of the old town contrast with the modern splendor of New Delhi, whose wide boulevards offer ever-changing perspectives: the Qutub Minar minaret (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) beautifully illustrates the introduction of Afghan architecture, while Red Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) derives its name from the colour of the material it was built with. The splendid tomb of Emperor Humayun (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) dates back to the Mughal era, while the old town and its magnificent Jam Masjid mosque, constructed of white marble and red sandstone, is the largest in all of India. In fact, the mosque’s courtyard can hold up to 25,000 people! There is also Raj Ghat, which has paid tribute to the great Mahatma Gandhi since his assassination in 1948, as well as Connaught Circus, a huge trade centre.

  • Day 4 | DELHI - MANDAWA 

Following breakfast at the hotel, depart by road for Mandawa, a merchant city founded in the eighteenth century. Mandawa is located in the picturesque region of Shekawati, with the facades of its houses painted in fresco.

  • Day 5 | MANDAWA - BIKANER

Following breakfast at the hotel, depart by road for Bikaner, passing through the picturesque villages of Rajasthan. This large, fortified city is surrounded by the Thar Desert. You’ll visit Junagarh Fort, an impressive citadel where the ancient palaces of the Bikaner Maharajas can be found.

  • Day 6 | BIKANER - JAISALMER

Following breakfast at the hotel, depart by road for Jaisalmer, an ancient caravan city whose powerful golden citadel rise above the desert plains.
Settle into hotel. Free end of day.

  • Day 7 | JAISALMER

Following breakfast at the hotel, discover Jaisalmer: the Gadi Sagar water reservoir which once served to supply water to the city. It is a peaceful place, surrounded by charming homes. The Jaisalmer Folklore Museum displays a superb collection of traditional items found in the city. You can also take a stroll through the fortifications of the upper town, through its maze of alleyways. The carved balconies of magnificent “Havelis” (sculptured merchant homes) add to the vibrant and colourful atmosphere. There are Jain temples, nested into a beautiful grouping of five sanctuaries. If all that isn’t enough, you’ll finish off your day with a 2-hour camel ride during which you will discover the cenotaphs of the Maharajas in the heart of the desert.

  • Day 8 | JAISALMER - MANVAR

Following breakfast at the hotel, depart by road for Manvar, in the desert, for a day-long jeep safari. Overnight in camp.

  • Day 9 | MANVAR - JODHPUR - MANDORE

Following breakfast at the hotel, depart by road for Jodhpur. Nestled at the foot of a dark red sandstone fortress, Jodhpur is a comforting and romantic oasis. Visit majestic Mehrangarh Fort, an impressive citadel perched on a rock which offers magnificent views of the city and the Blue Brahmins district.

Next, take an excursion to the ancient gardens of Mandore, the ancient capital of Marwar. Mandore preserves its past necropolis of Maharajas, in a wonderful garden. Near the Abhai Singh palace, (18th Century), you’ll discover the Hall of Heroes, a surprising sanctuary in the likeness of many gods and folk heroes. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 10 | JODHPUR - ROHET or MIHIRGARH

Following breakfast at the hotel, depart by road for Mihirgarh for a jeep safari. Observe Indian wildlife: black-horned antelope, black bucks, peacocks, monkeys, gazelles, cranes... Discover local customs: an opium ceremony. Opium production from water passing through various filtration processes. Offered to guests in accordance with particular rites. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 11 | ROHET or MIHIRGARH - RANAKPUR - UDAIPUR 

Following breakfast at the hotel, depart by road for Udaipur. Along the way, you’ll stop at Ranakpur to visit the Jain temples of Ranakpur, including Adinath Temple and its 1,444 pillars (not one is straight, signifying the imperfection of the world), a marvel of visual harmony and complexity due to its architecture and its variety of intricately carved details.

Continue on to Udaipur, the most romantic city of all of Rajasthan, and then settle into your hotel. Free end of the day to enjoy the city’s charms. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 12 | UDAIPUR

Following breakfast at the hotel, you’ll visit the “City of Aurora”, or graceful palaces nestled into the heart of charming gardens in the waters of the lake: City Palace, the largest palace in Rajasthan, is a maze of courtyards and gardens, with its terraces and kiosks of marble and granite. Jag Mandir, built on another island in Lake Pichola, is another superb white marble palace with fine turrets. Walk along the ghats. 1 hour vintage car ride. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 13 | UDAIPUR - CHITTORGARH - BUNDI 

Following breakfast at the hotel, depart by road for Bundi. Along the way, you’ll stop at Chittorgarh, the ancient capital of Mewar. Visit Fort Chittor, a real city with temples, palaces, mansions and ponds. Settle into your hotel. Free end of the day. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 14 | BUNDI - SHAHPURA

Following breakfast at the hotel, depart by road for Shahpura, the heart of Rajput country. Settle into your hotel. Enjoy a quiet break, either enjoying cocktails by the majestic pool, or enjoying a quiet conversation with the owner, who is a real prince! Free end of the day to walk around. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 15 | SHAHPURA - JAIPUR 

Following breakfast at the hotel, depart by road for Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Jaipur is also known as the “Pink City”, due to the hue of its sandstone construction. The city offers an eclectic mix of palaces, fortresses and colorful markets! Take in a performance at Raj Mandir, a cinema shaped like a meringue! Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 16 | JAIPUR

Following breakfast at the hotel, discovery Fort Amber, a splendid fortress overlooking a lake and its surroundings. Climb to the top of the ramparts on the back of an elephant led by a mahout. Inside the palace, religious ceremonies take place every morning in the temple of Kali.

Visits: City Palace is an impressive structure still inhabited by the royal family, with one part serving as a museum. The Palace of Winds, or Hawa Mahal, features an intricately carved facade which was designed to protect the beauty of women from prying eyes. The Jantar Mantar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is a beautiful astronomical observatory, and one of the oldest in the world. Cooking class followed by dinner with an Indian family. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 17 | JAIPUR - SAMODE

Following breakfast at the hotel, depart by road for Samode. Settle into your hotel, which is a former palace that has been restored to its original splendour. Rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 18 | SAMODE - FATHEPUR SIKRI - AGRA

Following breakfast at the hotel, depart by road for Agra. On the way, stop at Fathepur Sikri (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a mysterious and extraordinarily beautiful red sandstone city, once the short-lived capital of the Mughal Empire, founded by the great Emperor Akbar and in which there are mosques, palaces and pavilions. Continue on to Agra. Visits: Red Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), an imposing fortress made of red sandstone bearing a large number of Mughal imperial flags, symbols of both elegance and power. The Itimad-Ud-Daulah Mausoleum, the first Mughal building to be built with white marble, is a remarkable treat, erected for Mirza Ghiyas Beg, grandfather of Mumtaz Mahal.

  • Day 19 | AGRA - Flight to DELHI - DEPART

Following breakfast at the hotel, morning devoted to exploring and discovering the Taj Mahal (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). A magnificent Mughal mausoleum constructed of white marble, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his deceased wife, Mumtaz Mahal. In the afternoon, depart by road for Delhi. Later that evening, transfer to Delhi International Airport. Assistance with formalities of registering for your return flight.
