Day 1 | INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT
Day 2 | ARRIVAL IN ARUSHA

Evening arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, with welcome and transfer to Kibo Palace Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3 | MANYARA PARK SAFARI (B, L, D)

Morning departure for the Manyara region with breathtaking journey across Maasai territory. Enter the national park through an acacias forest (where you might see lions basking in the trees). Manyara Park, 330 km² in area, is renowned for the variety of its landscapes and the richness of its wildlife.

The shores of the lake are inhabited by bison, as well as giraffes and elephants. Also home to more than 400 species of birds, including a large colony of flamingos...

Days 4-7 | SERENGETI SAFARI (B, L, D)

Early morning departure for the Serengeti, one of the most famous reserves in the world . The route is lined with beautiful landscapes. Several days of safaris provides for greater exploration of the park’s vastness, but also allows for early morning safaris, ideal for tracking predators, as well as to encounter a variety of lighting for photos, stake out the territories of the big cats and other animals in order to observe them more closely, to follow the wildebeest migration, etc. Safari schedules and durations will be left to the desires of travelers. Evenings at the camp for dinners and overnight stays.

In an isolated region of the Serengeti, with only restricted access and frequented by many animals, great moments await you on your luxurious bush safari, where everything has been organized for your comfort!

Tents offer comfortable beds and full bedding, shower and toilet and are designed to ensure your safety and privacy. Upon arrival in your private camp, you will be served a welcome drink, with rest and relaxation before a carefully-prepared dinner under the light of kerosene lamps. Excellent food, good service and fresh baked bread in the bush... Self-serve coffee and tea service upon request; special meals (vegetarian) upon request.

Day 8 | SAFARI IN NGORONGORO CRATER (B, L, D)

After breakfast, you’ll enter the Ngorongoro crater and descend inside one of the most unique nature sanctuaries in the world, inhabited by numerous species of wild animals. You will arrive on the ridge, at 2,300 m of altitude, where you’ll be greeted by magnificent panoramic views of the “caldera”, 20 kms in diameter and the second largest crater in the world. In addition to the landscape’s incredible beauty, the first views from the peak are breathtaking and the safari that follows is simply unforgettable. Further down, a variety of ecosystems: prairies, marshlands, lakes, rivers, rainforest and mountains! A true wildlife haven for the densest predator population in Africa. This site includes up to 25,000 large mammals, mainly gazelles, bison, big cats (lions, leopards and cheetahs), elephants and even rare rhinos, protected in the sanctuary.

Day 9 | ARUSHA - Flight to MAFIA ISLAND (B, L, D)

Morning return, lunch in a restaurant and transfer to Arusha airport for your flight to the island of Mafia in southern Tanzania, renowned for its beautiful seabed. A relatively unknown tourist destination (the island receives 1,000 visitors annually), Mafia is an ideal retreat for those wishing to escape life’s stresses in a peaceful, authentic environment. It’s also a popular destination for sea lovers, particularly divers. The island’s coral reefs are beautiful and are home to thousands of species of tropical fish. Mafia is comprised of beautiful bays, lagoons and beaches. Arrive on the island on a small airplane, be greeted by the only taxi on the island, a Land Rover, and transfer to the marine park. Settle in to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Days 10 and 11 | MAFIA ISLAND CORAL DIVE, swimming with whale sharks (B, L, D)

The first marine park in Tanzania (Mafia Marine Park, 822 km²) was created in Mafia to preserve the fragile biodiversity of the island and its extraordinary resources. It is the largest protected zone in the Indian Ocean and a true crossroads of biodiversity, it blends lagoons and extraordinary coral, an abundance of fish species and an abundance of marine life, including turtles and sharks, as well as mangroves, coastal forests and other vegetation.

More than 460 species of fish and more than 50 types of coral have been recorded off of Mafia Island, making it a premier destination for scuba diving and snorkeling.

Several small islands or coral islets revolve around Mafia: Mango Reef, Kitutia Reef, Juani Island and Chole Island are all wonderful underwater sites to discover. During several months of the year, you can observe the passage of whale sharks all along the coast of Mafia, and lodges organize observation and diving excursions to see these amazing big fish.

Kinasi Lodge & Spa

For many years Mafia’s one and only lodge, Kinasi is a charming hotel with 14 bedrooms (and one family bungalow with two bedrooms) and is an ideal destination for diving enthusiasts. This is the most complete lodge in terms of activities and services. Kinasi is located in the Marine Park on the island (park fees are included in the package indicated).

Upon request, we can also offer an amazing stay to live “feet in water” on a deserted beach, in a full-comfort accommodation with a boat available for fishing trips and scuba diving...

Day 12 | MAFIA - DAR ES SALAM - DEPARTURE

Last morning to relax at your lodge before transferring to the island’s airport for your flight to Dar es Salaam, where you will connect to your international flight back home. Dinner and overnight on board.
